All of the staff in the Sea Cadet Corps are volunteers and come from
all walks of life. Some have served in the Royal Navy or other armed forces, while others have jobs from nursing to
bricklaying. They give up their time because they want to help young people. All staff have a Police check
before they can join to ensure the safety of the cadets.
Although they are volunteers, unit staff have to undergo training
and courses in much the same way as cadets do.
As the Sea Cadets are a
charitable organisation, each unit has a committee reponsible for getting sponsorship and funding, so even if you don't want
to become a member of staff you could still help by joining the committee.

Welcome New Members of Staff!
We are always looking for New Staff.
You don't need a Naval background you just need to be happy to give
up some of your time. The rewards are seeing cadets go from bored teenagers to responsible adults.
